Neuroscience Programs of Study
The neuroscience program and the sequence of our courses are designed with your career goals and interests in mind.
Courses at Loyola University New Orleans provide a kind of solid preparation not always available to undergraduate students in liberal arts institutions (and even at many of the larger schools). The depth and variety of courses we offer and our unique track concentrations are a unique opportunity for undergraduate studies. We are seriously committed to student advising and close student-faculty interaction. Our faculty are nationally recognized researchers, experts in several disciplines, including neuroscience, psychology, biology, and biophysics.

Is Neuroscience Right for Me?
If you want to know more about the field of Neuroscience, you might sign up for NEUR-A100, Foundations in Neuroscience. That course is the starting point for all our programs.
Next, you should visit the Director, Dr. Kate Yurgil, who can answer a lot of your questions and line you up with a permanent academic advisor (if you decide on a major or minor).
