Political Science Resources

At Loyola University New Orleans, we believe in educating the whole person through rigorous academic studies and plentiful cultural experiences. We encourage you to immerse yourself in campus life at Loyola by taking advantage of the many services we have to offer.
The Department of Political Science encourages its students to seek out assistance from their advisors as they plan their academic course work and their future careers after college.
The Eta Epsilon Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha announces publication of the Loyola University New Orleans Journal of Poliical Science Volume II - April 2007. The Journal allows for articulation of diverse views held by Loyola political science students and the promotion of the students' critical thinking skills. By publishing a collection of students' work, the Journal exemplifies scholarship in the various fields of a political science academic discipline.
Please speak with your chapter president if you have any questions.
Pi Sigma Alpha is a national political science honor society. The purpose of the society is to stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in political science. Pi Sigma Alpha accepts students who have completed at least 12 credit hours in political science with a grade point average of at least 3.0 in political science courses. We also offer the opportunity to become an Associate Member if the student has a 3.0 in political science courses and has completed at least 6 credit hours in political science. Our chapter, Eta Epsilon, has been involved in many activities, including: editing a journal, fund raising, mentoring, socializing, and bringing together students and faculty at year-end receptions.
